There are a lot of poor starving artists.
Do you ever watch the first few episodes of American Idol?  I do; it's fascinating television. So many delusional people in such a short amount of time. It's glorious! A good friend of mine once said that the reason there are so many contestants that are absolutely abhorrent singers is because all of those people didn't have someone that loved them enough to tell them they're no good at singing. (Either that or the poor schmucks simply refused to believe the well-meaning people that might have tried to educate the cacophanous vocalists). We live in such a politically correct, 'I don't want to be responsible for stamping out your dreams' society that we're no longer honest with each other. Hence, beautiful trainwreck television in the form of phenomenally bad singing.

Some Cool Art Not Many People Have Seen IIAs was the case in the past, my page doesn't get the biggest flow of traffic and this may not be a huge boon to any of these wonderful artists, but I thought I'd go through my Favorites and look for pieces that had fewer favs then my best in the last year which has received 395 and create a quick little Journal entry that would at least give them a little more exposure.

commissionsThe answer is yes ,you can commission a work, but remember that its a commitment by both parties.
We are talking about 30-40 hours of work for a portrait (size a little smaller than a paper a4), so before you proceed with your request you must be prepared to propose an amount with at least three numbers for the original work (plus the shipping costs).
If you just want the high resolution(usually is around 10MB at 600dpi) digital file is a different matter ,the price would be just symbolic.
In case you choose the cheaper version of the digital file, just remember that I have no interest to spend hours drawing your grandmother or your boyfriend/girlfriend,so pick up something from the works already done ,or hope that your boyfriend is such a stunning specimen that i can't resist to nail him down with colors.

Just a funny testIt seems to me that when i look for art or just browse the "browse more like this window" is always showing up nudity.
Now don't get me wrong, we in Europe have no problem with artistic nudity at all.
I love to paint nudity, i fave it and follow the great photographers here and it is in ads on the street, it is everywhere but the fact that nudity always shows up made me try out a funny little test.
So it took a picture of a horse and i counted how much steps it would take me to get to a random nude, well exactly 9 steps, from the horse i got to horse riding, from horse riding to a girl in a meadow with the horse and then the girl in the meadow minus the horse and then the girl in the meadow minus the clothes...
Voila that was my funny test, moral of the story is don't rant against nudity if you are on dA it is unescapable lol... or if you look for nudity, take heart, because you know it will only take you 9 steps to get there whatever subject you are after :rofl:

OMG!! page 3 dubbed!!!

i just got a note from ~Omahdon that he and few of his friends gathered together to make a dubbing of page 3 of my comic.

i... really have no words..  its so amazing!! the tone of the doctors voice is awesome and the voicing overall is perfectly done, with emotional accents and everything.

im honoured to to have such amazing fans. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
i am grinning the whole day like a crazy person. i even have tears in my eyes.

Love it!
Maybe they could make the mouths move in sync to the dialogue? (Just like in some of those '60s animated TV adventure toons - cartoon stills where the voice actors' moving mouths were superimposed over the drawn cartoon mouths.) ;)

lol if i did that you would never get to see chapter 2, and i would never be satisfied with just animating the mouth, i would start animating the hair, and the head movement and eyes, and ofc.. that wouldnt be a comic anymore it would be a cartoon XD and id rather leave that for someone more experienced XD
